October is here and fall break is one week away.

For all parents/guardians and students:

  • In order to facilitate Quarter 1 exams, the bell schedule for the week of 10/2/17 had to be altered. The following changes were made:
  • Monday - Traditional Early Release Schedule
  • Tuesday - Odd Block Day Schedule
  • Wednesday - Even Block Day Schedule
  • Thursday - Odd Block Day Schedule
  • Friday - Even Block Day Schedule
  • These changes were necessary in order to allow all students an appropriate amount of time to take their end of quarter exams.
  • Fall break is October 9-16. No school, enjoy your vacation. See you back to school on Tuesday, October 17, we will be on our regular Tuesday schedule.
  • Congratulations to our September Students of the Month:
  •  CHS Coyote- “Arleth Mejia Garica is wonderful all-around Coyote here at CHS. She is active on the Girl's cross country team. She is maintaining straight A's in all of her classes. She is a pleasure to have in class, and is incredibly respectful not only to her teachers, but to her classmates as well. She is always willing to work to her fullest potential, and never demonstrates anything except her best self.” Nominated by Jenny McKee
  • Banner Hospital- (the trait of Trustworthiness) – “Kett Anderson is a great example of a trustworthy student. He consistently does his best in class. I appreciate that he will let me know if he doesn't understand something, and will ask for help. Not only is honest in his class work, he is trustworthy when I ask him to help another student or run an errand. I know I can always count on Kett, and I really appreciate that as a teacher.” Nominated by Jenny McKee
  • Kiwanis International— Emma Ferraro “Emma has truly blossomed this year. Her grades have increased and she has a great attitude towards school. Her teachers have told me that she participates in every lesson and shows a desire to do well in school. Emma is also involved on our campus. I am so impressed with how she has started the year. Great job Emma!”  Nominated by Sheri Hammer
